The Effect of VA-Mycorrhiza on Absorption and Utilization of Water-insoluble Phosphate Fertilizers by Maize in Calcareous Soil

Cao Yiping Li Xiaolin (Beijing Agricultural University, Beijing)
The experiments were carried out in pots for studying the effect of V A-mycorrhiza (G. epigaeum) on enhancing absorption and utilization of 3 species of weak-acid-soluble phosphate fertilizers and a water-soluble phosphate fertilizer in calcareous soil. The results showed that inoculation of V A-mycorrhiza in the soil could increase absorptivity and utilization coefficient of weak-acid-soluble phosphate fertilizers by maize plant, particularly increase the effect of water-insoluble phosphate on the plant growth, and also increase the weight of dry matters, phosphorus content in underground and upground of the plant and phosphorus absorptivity of the maize plant.
