THE FACTORS RELATED TO EXTERIOR QUALITY FORMATION OF FRUITS

In general, the exterior appearance, taste and nutrients are the main factors forming the fruit quality. It is well known that the appearance of fruits (size, shape, colour and surface state) is most attracted in marking. The exterior quality of fruits is mainly controlled by the genetic factor, and the fruits of different species and varieties have their own developmental patterns, The appearance characters such as the relative size, shape, colour and with or without rust spots on the skin are also affected greatly by the environmental factors and culture conditions. In addition to select proper cultivars, we must adopt appropriate technical measures in each phase of orchard management in order to promote or improve the exterior quality of fruits.
