Normal Variety Design of Wheat in Heilonggang Region and Breed Selection of Cangmai-026

The new variety of Cang-wheat 026 was bred by means of sexual crossing breeding and parallel,alternative selection of two seed plots by using Linfen 605 as female and CA837 as male.The characteristics of this variety are very stable such as tolerance to adversity and wide adaptability.The outstanding characteristics of the breeding are water-saving and high yield.The average yield was 5 790 kg/hm2 in water region tests of 1999~2001 in the northern and middle part of Hebei province and in large region production tests,which was 6.1% higher than that of Jingdong No.8 and ranked as the first position.In large region production tests,the average yield was 6 135 kg/hm2.Through the examination and approval of Hebei Breeding Examination and Approval Committee,the wheat breeding is suitable for the middle-high level fertility areas such as Heilonggang of Hebei.
