Effects of Conservation Tillage on Yield of Corn and Soil Properties in the East of Hebei Province

In order to explore the impact of conservation tillage on maize field soil properties and maize yield and its component,with no tillage and no straw returning for control( CK),we researched the effects of ploughing with straw returning( PTS),rotary with straw( RTS),no tillage with straw returning( NTS),rotary with no straw returning( RTNS) and ploughing with no straw returning( PTNS) on maize yield and soil properties in the east of Hebei Province. Results show that compared with CK,PTS,RTS,NTS,RTNS and PTNS can increase maize production in varying degrees,and the best was PTS; The content of available nitrogen,available potassium and organic matter in 0 ~ 30 cm soil layer was the most with PTS. PTS also had the maximum soil porosity and the minimum soil bulk density.
