Study on Modified Atmosphere Packaging Preservation and Cold Storage of Spinach

The effect of different initial gas proportion of modified atmosphere packaging and storage temperature on quality of spinach was studied.The sensory and physiology indices of spinach stored at 2℃ after modified atmosphere packaging,were tested after 17 days storage.Then cold storage of the spinach at 12℃,2℃and 5℃ was studied under the best MAP group(MAPS).The results showed after 17 days storage,spinach in MAP8(10%O2 plus 10%CO2)and MAP7(10%O2 plus 5%CO2)had good quality at 2℃.The result also showed chlorophyll content and sensory score of MAP8 had the best value at 5℃ after 17 days storage.
