Performance and Cultivation Techniques of Two-line Hybrid Rice Variety Guangliangyouxiang 66 Planted in Southern Henan

YOU Qing-tian1,WANG Zheng1,HE Xing-jiao2(1.Seed Service Station of Gushi County,Gushi 465200,Henan,China;2.Hubei Zhongxiang Rice Limited Company,Wuhan 430070,China)  
Guangliangyouxiang 66,a two-line hybrid rice variety with high yield and good quality,was selected by Hubei Zhongxiang Rice Limited Company.The variety was successfully cultivated in southern Henan from 2007 to 2008.It showed characteristics of suitable growth period,good adaptability,high and stable yield,strong disease and lodging resistance,and good grain quality.The measures of fine planting,rational density,scientifically fertilizing and watering,and preventing and contrdling insect pests were mentioned.
