Research and Development on Microbial Hydrometallurgical Technology

In the 21st century,the development and utilization of microbiology will enter an era of rapid development.Compared with the traditional processes,microbial metallurgy has a bright prospect in industry with the characters of low cost,low energy consumption,simple process and environment-friendly,especially in the field of leaching of low grade ores.In this paper,the bioleaching mechanism,microbial kinds,bioleaching techniques and the main factors in bioleaching were reviewed,the development of biological phosphorus removal processes were emphasized and their development prospects were also proposed.
