Effects of Application Methods of Base Fertilizer on the Yield and Quality of Tobacco Leaves

In order to improve the basal fertilizer application methods of "three first" used in the tobacco produce areas of Hubei,the experiments of tobacco base fertilizer application methods were conducted in the main tobacco produce areas in Xuanen,Xianfeng,Baokang of Hubei in 2007~2008,the effects of base fertilizer application methods on tobacco growth,yield and quality were studied.The results showed that when basal fertilizer was applied 20 days before transplant with "drill way + bunch way",tobacco plant grew better,production and output value of tobacco were the best,leaf chemical composition and sensory quality of tobacco were better.
