Analysis of Components in Propolis and Yang Gum by GC-MS

The 75 components in propolis and yang gum were identified by GC-MS.The results showed that the content of 2,6-dihydroxy-4-methoxy chalcones,5-hydroxy-7-methoxyflavone and galangin were obvious different between in propolis and yang gum,and guaiol,1-(1,5-dimethyl-4-hexenyl)-4-methyl-benzene,and 2-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole were only found in the yang gum.Therefore,these components could be used as the identification markers in propolis.
