Ecological Risk Study of Soil Lead Contamination in Tongguan Gold Areas

The degree of potential ecological risk of soil lead contamination is the premise and foundation of soil pollution prevention and control.Based on the pre-investigation and evaluation of soil lead contamination,potential ecological risk index method(Hakanson) are adopted to assess soil quality and reveal its potential ecological risk degree.With the mean value of soil lead in non-mining area of Mengyuan town of Huayin city as reference values,the soil lead contamination assessment and potential ecological risk in mining area are carried out.The results indicate that the lead contamination in the study area is heavy.The overall lead contamination risk in study area is relative low,with 82.71% samples in low risk,11.28% in moderate risk,2.26% in high risk,1.50% in higher risk and 2.26% in extreme high risk.However,the average of lead content is much higher than the median of lead,which indicates that the local contamination is heavy.So the reasonable cure and rehabilitations to the local high risk areas are needed.
