CLINIC ANALYSIS OF PRIMARY GOUT AND COMPLICATED DISEASES

ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between the primary gout and complicated diseases (coronary heart disease, essential hypertension, hyperlipoidemia, diabetes mellitus). Methods163 hospitalized patients with the primary gout in recent ten years were studied retrospectively.All the patients were performed routinely with examinations as blood acidity,uric acidity,24 h urine uric acidity,blood cholesteroid,tiglycerides,fasting and postprandial blood glucose, ECG, chest and joint X-ray films were examined.ResultsGout of 163 cases, 122 had the complicated diseases ( 74.8 %). 80 patients showed more than two complicated diseases ( 56.6 %).58 patients had coronary heart disease ( 35.6 %), 87 hypertension ( 53.4 %), 82 hyperlipoidemia ( 50.3 %), and 37 diabetes mellitus ( 22.7 %)。 The complicated diseases of the primary gout correlated positively with age.The older the patient was,the more the complicated diseases happened.ConclusionThe primary gout resulted from the disturbance of purine metabolism was an exasperating factor of the above four diseases, which is potentially harmful to health.
