Synthesis of Temperature-responsive Polymer{poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide)} by Ultrasonic

A temperature-sensitive polymer,poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide)(1),was synthesized by ultrasonically initiated polymerization using N-isopropyl acrylamide as the monomer,N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide as the crosslinker and THF as the solvent.The structure was confirmed by FT-IR.The thermal phase transformation behavior of 1 were investigated by UV-Vis.The results showed that the 1 has thermosensitivity and the lower critical solution temperature is 34 ℃.
