Optimization of Mid Ship Section Structure of Large Crude Oil Carrier Based on Ant Colony Algorithm

The ant colony algorithm is adopted in the optimization design of the mid ship section structure of a large crude oil carrier.According to the DNV norm,a model of the mid ship section structure of the large crude oil carrier is built up.18 design variables such as longitudinal type are chosen.The target function is determined with the least weight vs.the unit length of the mid ship section structure.29 constraint conditions are picked up. It proved effective that the ant colony algorithm can improve the optimal design.As a result,the weight of the mid ship section structure in unit length may decrease by 3.35%.
