Wind speed and wind power prediction based on SVM

Due to the features of being fluctuant,intermittent,and stochastic of wind power,interconnection of large capacity wind farms with the power grid will bring about impact on the safety and stability of power systems.To predict the wind speed and wind power as well as the short-term wind farm output is an effective way to solve the problem.The Support Vector Machine(SVM)based methods for predicting the wind speed and wind power were studied and analyzed,and a prediction test was conducted.
