Discussion on Ore Controlling Factors and the Validation of Optimal Prospecting Target Area in Hongshanzi-Guangxing Uranium Ore-field Inner Mongolia

Hongshanzi-Guangxing uranium ore-field,located at the southern segment of the Great Xing'an Range,is an integral part of the Guyuan-Hongshanzi uranium metallogenic belt. The data from 2010 to present,including geological research、Hydrothermal-type uranium deposits exploration and evaluation work,shows some of new insights of ore-controlling factors: the multiple layer of ore-hosting rock,the variety of directions of ore-controlling faults,the diversity of the orebody location,the differences of uranium deposits between uplift area and depression area,the consistency of wall rock alteration,the close spatial relationship between ore body and inner contact zone or outer contact zone of sub-volcanic rocks. According to these new insights,we have chosen three optimal prospecting target areas,including Nanwopu area,Daxingyong area( located in the south of Daxingyong-Jiguanshan fault) as well as Liujiayingzi area( located in the north of Baichahe fault). According to Drilling verification work of the two target,we have found some of the industrial uranium ore holes,and the continuity of ore body is completed. These results provide us with confidence in the prospecting of the area.
