Carbonate Rock Type and Its Sedmentary Environment of the Upper Segment of Lower Gaichaigou Formation in Gasi Area,West Qaidam Basin——Taking an Example of Well YH101

Exploration practice shows that the tight oil has great exploration potential in recent years in Qaidam basin,the upper segment of lower Gaichaigou formation is the main purpose strata for the tight oil exploration in southwest Qaidam basin,which belongs to the oligocene. The carbonate created in the lake is the important reservoir for the tight oil. Based on the core observation and description systematically,through rock test and analysis results such as rock thin section identification,elemental analysis and whole rock mineral analysis,It is suggested that the carbonate of the upper segment of lower gaichaigou formation in gasi area in western Qaidam origined by mixed sedimentation typically. The lithology complex,which include two classes,one is limestone and the other is dolomitite. The limestone mainly consist of calcite which develop 24 types lithology,but the dolomite mainly consist of dolomite which develop 23 types lithology. By the results of the element Sr/Ba,Sr/Cu,Mn O/Fe,V/Cr,Ni/Co,Cu/Zn and the stable carbon and oxygen isotope,it consider that the carbonatite of the upper segment of lower Gaichaigou formation produced in the arid to semiarid climate and the alcaline water in the lake is brackish water to salty water which contained plentaty oxygen,in such environment,the water's Eh is from weak oxidation to weak reduction.
