Comparative Study on The Magnetic Susceptibility of The Xiashu Loess in the Middle and Lower Changjiang River Region

Based on the analytical study of the stratum structure and magnetic susceptibility curve characteristics of Zhenjiang Dagang profile , and the comparison of research findings of aeolian accumulation in its adjacent area, it is considered that the middle and lower Changjiang river region undergoes 7 large paleoclimate cycles since the middle pleistocene, the change range of the cycles is much smaller than it in north China, frequent small scale cold hot climate fluctuation occurs in both hot period and cold period and can compare with abyssal oxygen isotope curve. The groundwater soak has a big effect on magnetic susceptibility value of profile loess sample in Zhenjiang area.
