Determination of Trace Copper(Ⅱ) with Catalytic Kinetic Spectrofluorimetric Analysis Method

A catalytic spectrofluorimetric method is proposed for the determination of trace copper(Ⅱ),based on the catalytic effect of copper(Ⅱ) for the oxidation of rhodamine 6G by hydrogen peroxide in ammonia-ammonium chloride buffer solution(pH=8.50).The determination limit for fo copper is 0.2 μg/L,and the linear range of the determination is 0.2~40 μg/L.The method is rapid and simple.The method is used to determine trace copper in water and aluminium alloy samples with satisfactory results.
