Improved particle filter algorithm based target tracking

Particle filter algorithm has particle improvement and diversity problems in target tracking. In this paper,an improved particle filter based on firefly algorithm is proposed to solve the problem. The particles in the particle filter are optimized using firefly algorithmin the importance sampling process,and make the iterative optimization of the particle,which makes the sampling of the particles closer to the true posterior probability. In the process of particle filter resampling,the firefly algorithm is used to move the particle to the high likelihood region to improve the diversity of the particles. The experimental results on target tracking show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the standard particle filter and it can track targets robustly in various challenging conditions.
