Preliminary study of courtship and mating of the wolf spider Pardosa pseudoannulata, were determined under the condition of laboratory. Results indicated that the unusual courtship characteristics of male palp rowing and foreleg frequently quivering played important roles in courtship. Moreover, the species-specific arrangement of color pattern with white tibia and black tarsus of male palp was presumed to be also important in male courtship.Copulation in the wolf spider was characterized by a pattern of which male inserts only once on one side with multiple expansions of hematodocha.Durations of courtship latency, courtship and copulation of each pair mated in laboratory average 31 s,4 min 32 s and 26 min 49 s,respectively. Results of multiple mating suggested that females were strictly monandrous, while males were polygynous.Percentage of female sexual cannibalism averaged 9.28% in premating, and 16.18% in postmating, respectively.
