A Finite Element Analysis of Large Strains of Nearly Incompressible Rubber

Rubber strain energy functions always are divided into two kinds according to the compressibility and the incompressibility.Almost all rubber materials are incompressible .In this paper,by using the strain energy function recommended by Gao,the plane stress of rubber sheet is analyzed.The results given from finite element method are in good agreement with Iding's experiment.It is reasonable to use the function for middle-small deformation of rubber.
