Photo degradation of anilines by UV-vis/H 2 O 2 /Ferrioxalatecomplexes process

The UV-vis/H 2 O 2 /Ferrioxalate advanced oxidation process is one of photo degradation methods of or-ganics.The hydroxyl radical(·OH)generates in the process,which is a strong oxidant and reacts rapidly with or-ganic compounds in wastewater.The oxidation behavior of Benzedrine?O-toluidin?O-tilidine?P-pheylenedia-nimine?3,3-dimethoxybenzidine treated by this oxidant was researched.The optimum technology conditions of the UV-vis/H 2 O 2 /Ferrioxalate process to remove anilines from water were determined:pH=3.0~4.0?Fe 2+ ∶H 2 O 2 ∶C 2 O 42- =1∶4~5∶10~12(mol/L).UV-vis/H 2 O 2 /Ferrioxalate process is very efficient and useful for the treatment of water highly contaminated by aniline and the removing efficiency of anilines was more than95%within16min.
