The Literature for Popularizing History at the Republic of China Period

The literature for popularizing history at the Republic of China period refers to those that were written for the purpose of popularizing and at the same tome scientific and innovative in style between 1912 and 1949. This domain has been ignored in the academic circle. They did not think it was of any academic value so there was rare literature concerning this topic. Actually,its social value,that is,helping people know the cultural value of history,is great. This type of literature at the Republic of China period continued the tradition at Ming and Qing period and started the trend of popularizing history works after the foundation of new China. This study aims to serve for the long-term development of history and its orientation in modern society.
