Genetic algorithms based optimization model for EDM parameters

An optimization model based on genetic algorithms for EDM parameters imitates a decision-making process of a skilled operator. The optimization model extracts relationships between electrical parameter and machining results from the technology data and machining examples in the form of fuzzy production rules using genetic algorithms. Based on these fuzzy production rules, a set of suitable electrical parameters for a new machining request is provided by fuzzy reasoning.
