A method for interval multiple attribute decision making with partial attribute weight information

With respect to interval multiple attribute decision making problems with partial information of attribute weights, a decision analysis method is proposed. The interval multiple attribute decision making problem with partial information of attribute weights was introduced, and based on the traditional TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method, calculation steps for solving interval multiple attribute decision making problems with partial information of attribute weights were given. In the method, an optimization model was constructed to determine deviation each between each alternative and the positive and negative ideal point. According to the deviation values, the relative closeness was calculated to rank alternatives. A numerical example was used to illustrate the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method.
