Dynamic response of reinforced unpaved subgrade subjected to moving loads

To study the dynamic response of reinforced subgrade subjected to moving loads,the semi-analytical numerical method was used.The reinforced subgrade was considered as a transversely isotropic layer and the full dynamic poroelastic theory of Biot was employed.The loading function was presented by a Fourier series expansion.By using the boundary condition,the governing equations of motion were then solved.Mechanical behaviors of the reinforced composite were investigated through varying the reinforced ratio,the elastic modulus of reinforcement and the speed of moving loads.Numerical results indicate that the effect of reinforcement on soil is significant when the reinforcing ratio is in a certain range.Furthermore,the vertical displacement of reinforced composite increases with the increasing load speed,and decreases rapidly when the vertical displacement reaches the maximum.
