EFFECT OF INITIAL CHIRP ON PICOSECOND PULSE COMPRESSION IN PHOTONIC CRYSTAL FIBERS

As the fiber loss is neglected the effect of initial chirp on the propagation of picosecond gauss pulse in photonic fibers numerically,by split-step Fourier method.By simulating and analyzing the change of com- pression factor,quality factor,peak power of compressed pulse and optimal fiber length,we reach some valua- ble conclusions.Gauss pulse with various central wavelength compression can be attained in photonic crystal fi- bers.
