Design of the monitoring system of shipborne phased-array WPR based on NiosⅡ

The paper deals with the key technology of phased array wind profiler radar(WPR) monitoring systems and offers the newest solution to the key technology.With the NiosⅡ microprocessor based on SOPC developed by Altera Company,the paper realizes coordinate transformation of the azimuth angle and pitch angle of the shipborne phased-array WPR antenna beam among geodetic coordinates,deck coordinates and antenna coordinates.The prediction,revising and compensating algorithm of electron waves of the shipborne phased-array WPR is implemented,and the real-time and correct target tracking of aircraft in azimuth is achieved.The result shows that the time of one coordination transformation is about 7 ms and the time for one prediction by the Kalman prediction algorithm is less than 1 ms.
