Treatment of Ammonia-nitrogen Wastewater by Shortcut Nitrification-Denitrification Process with Waste Lye as Carbon Source

The wastewater containing low carbon and high ammonia nitrogen was treated by shortcut nitrification-denitrification process with waste lye from refinery as carbon source.The experimental results indicate that under the conditions of reaction temperature (25 ± 1)℃,wastewater pH 7.7 - 8.3,DO less than 0.5 mg/L,running period 6 h (aeration time 4 h,anoxiating time 2 h) and running time 7 d,the ρ(NH_3-N),TN,COD of the effluent are 0.2,1.69,156 mg/L,respectively.
