Quantitative Estimation Methods for VOCs Fugitively Emitted from Wastewater in Petrochemical Enterprises

The necessity of quantitative estimation of VOCs fugitively emitted from wastewater in petrochemical enterprises is expounded.Some common estimation methods,such as manual computation method,model computation method,gas-phase determination method,emission coefficient method and material balance method are presented.The application conditions and the advantages and disadvantages of these methods are introduced.The fugitive emission amount of VOCs from wastewater in a Chinese petrochemical enterprise was estimated using model WATER9 combined with other estimation methods.
