Treatment of Malachte Green Wastewater by Steel Slag/Coke Adsorption-Microwave Radiation

In this paper,it was proved that steel slag is a good absorbent for malachite green.It was also discovered that high temperate was obtained on coke under microwave radiation.Therefore,a method for the treatment of malachite green wastewater has been developed employing steel slag/coke mixture as an absorbent—microwave catalyst.The effects of granularity,pH and solid—liquid ratio on the adsorption as well as the regenesis of absorbent were studied.The results indicated that the adsorption procedure was fast.The saturated absorption capacity was as high as 1.28 g/g.The proposed method is fast,simple and economical.It may be useful for the treatment of malachite green wastewater.
