Experimental Study of Preparation of Ni-TiN Nanocoating through Ultrasonic Spray Electrodeposition

Making use of ultrasonic spray electrodeposition method to prepare Ni-TiN nanocoatings for the surface of 45#steels was implemented,including having electrochemical workstation and neutral salt spray test utilized to investigate corrosion resistance of the Ni-TiN nanocoating and the scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction adopted to analyze surface morphology,microstructure and elemental composition of the NiTiN nanocoating. The results show that,the surface of the Ni-TiN nanocoating deposited at ultrasonic power of150 W has few cracks and the microstructure becomes more uniform after 20-day's corrosion; with the increase of corrosion cycle,the corrosion loss of the Ni-TiN nanocoating prepared at 150 W ultrasonic power becomes slower. The XRD analysis indicates that the TiN particles can exist in the Ni-TiN nanocoating and when the ultrasonic power is 150 W,the diffraction peak of the Ni-TiN nanocoating becomes stronger to show a higher TiN content in the Ni-TiN nanocoating.
