Research progress of biodiesel preparation with solid superacid catalysts

The kinds of solid superacid catalysts are reviewed as well as their characteristics and applications in esterification catalysis.Meanwhile,the advantages and disadvantages of solid superacid catalysts are analyzed.The latest researches on the modification of solid superacid catalysts on the carrier are summarized,which includes doping with rare earth elements,nano-materials,magnetic materials and so on.Finally,the development trend of solid superacid catalysts is presented.
