ON PYRITE DEPOSITS IN CHINA AND THEIR TYPIES, DISTRIBUTION AND ECONOMIC POTENTIAL

China is rich in pyrite resources with many typies of ore deposits, such as ⑴ pyrite deposit, ⑵ Cu bearing pyrite deposit, ⑶ Cu Zn bearing pyrite deposit, ⑷ polymetal pyrite deposit, ⑸ W Cu bearing pyrite deposit, ⑹ Sn bearing pyrite deposit and ⑺ Au bearing pyrite deposit. Another genetic type, and the most important, is associated with seafloor exhalative sedimentation, distributing widely in different geological orogenic belts and Early Precambrian cratons. The tectonic settings where it formed can be divided into ⑴ marginal sea or eugeosyncline, ⑵ superimposed fault depression, ⑶ mid ocean ridge, ⑷ island arc and ⑸ subaerial volcanic depression.
