Effect factors of organic compound intercalation of kaolinite

WANG Lin Jiang Wu Da qing (Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Guangzhou 510640 China)  
Kaolinite organic compound,which is prepared by intercalation kaolinite interlayer spacing with organic matters,is a new type mineral material.With the properties of both kaolinite and organic matter,it can be applied in functional filler,ceramic material,catalyst,selective adsorbent and environment modification material.It is difficult to intercalate because of the hydrogen bond of kaolinite interlayer.The factors affecting kaolinite organic compound intercalation,such as particle size,crystallizing degree,interlayer forces of kaolinite,properties of organic matter,content of water,temperature,pressure and pH value,were summarized in this paper.
