Synthesis of titanium crosslinked mont morillonites and effects of different washing styles on their properties

Titanium crosslinked montmorillonites were synthesized from the reaction of titanium tetrachloride with montmorillonite.The resulting products were washed by deionized water and deionized water combining with ethanol,respectively.Characterization of the titanium crosslinked montmorillonites were performed by using X-ray diffraction(XRD),N_2 adsorption-desorption isotherms,and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The effects of the two kinds of washing styles on the resulting products were discussed.
