Synthesis and photochemical properties of Mo-doped HLaNb_2O_7

Li Jing Wu Jihuai Lin Jianming Huang Miaoliang Huang Yufang Xu Li(Institute of Materials Physical Chemistry,Huaqiao University,Quanzhou 362021)  
Molybdenum-doped HLaNb_2O_7 were prepared by solid-state reaction followed by an ion-exchange reaction and were analyzed by XRD,DRS(diffuse reflectance spectrum),ICP(inductivity coupled plasma) and BET.The products showed hydrogen production activity under irradiation of band gap from a 100 W mercury lamp in an methanol aqueous with Pt as promoter catalyst.Compared to the undoped HLaNb_2O_7,the hydrogen evolution rate is greatly improved when the doping concentration is Mo/Nb = 2.5 mol%.
