Synthesis and photoluminescence properties of SnO_2 powder by solution combustion method

SnO2 powder was synthesized by solution combustion method without annealing process.The specimens prepared with different citric acid/Sn,NH NO/Sn ratio,and calcined temperature were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),fourier transform infrared spectrometry,ultraviolet spectrometer(UV) and photoluminescence spectra(PL).With the optimal citric acid/Sn ratio of 2,NH NO /Sn ratio ratio of 12,calcined at 600℃,SnO2 powder with 33nm grain size,showing the highest XRD peak,UV absorptionrelatively pure and better luminescence property was obtained.Two peaks at 553 and 661 nm in PL spectra were obtained.
