A NEW PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF MnZn FERRITE POWDER WITH CO-DUMP COPRECIPITATION

The thermodynamic analysis on preparation of soft MnZn ferrite powder withco-dump (two reactant streams fed continuously) or reverse-dump (metal ion sulfate stream fedcontinuously) coprecipitation has been carried out in view of the coprecipitation reactions andthe composition of precipitates. The result showed that the co-dump process is much betterthan the reverse-dump process in both reaction conditions and properties of precipitates. Theexperimental results revealed that little hydroxide was formed in the co-dump process so thatthe precipitates were easily washed and filtered.
