Two-phase Flow Measurement Based on Separating Flow Pattern

A gas-liquid two-phase flow ratio equation through Venturi tube is deduced based on the separated-phase model from the Bernoulli equation.The slip ratio of gas-liquid two-phase flow is very important for the measurement of gas-liquid two-phase flow.A new slip ratio equation is gained,and the slip ratio of gas-liquid two-phase flow through the Venturi tube is computed by the new slip-ratio equation.The flow ratio is computed by the separated-phase model flow ratio equation and the new slip ratio equation.The root-mean-square error of the volume flow rate is less than 5.1%.The results show that the method can measure the gas-liquid two-phase flow.Especial to the combined-action two-phase flow,the error of the flow rate is below 10%.
