Application and Rethinking of Public English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges Based on WeChat Public Platform

The rapid development of network technology, computer technology and wireless communication technology provide an opportunity for the reform of the teaching mode in higher vocational colleges. WeChat public platform, as a social software, is favored by education workers with its strong personality, sharing and interactive features,so that students' learning approaches become more and more diversified. By introducing the characteristics of the WeChat public platform and its application principles in higher vocational public English courses, this paper discusses the concrete application designing in higher vocational public English teaching based on WeChat public platform. It is concluded that this kind of new teaching mode to some extent improves college students' English learning, as well as becomes an effective tool for their self-study.
