The surface red soil uninfluenced by lead-zinc mining arounding the Shuikoushan Mining Area,Hengyang city,was sampled and the indigenous bacteria was isolated,the comparative experiment on sorption of heavy metals by the soils with bacteria and without bacteria was conducted through dynamic adsorption method to research the accumulation capacity of Cu2 +,Pb2 +and Cd2 +in leachate by soil with indigenous bacteria. The results show the ability of sorption of Cu2 +,Pb2 +and Cd2 +by the soil with bacteria is 97. 6%,63. 6% and 51. 9% higher respectively than by the soil without bacteria,which indicates the indigenous bacteria promote the accumulation of the heavy metal ions by soil.
