Calculation method of wave making problem for high\|speed surface ships with transom stern

The Dawson method of the wave making resistance calculation is extended to the situation of the high\|speed surface ships with transom stern, taking into account the 0 hydrostatic pressure of the transom plate, the trim and sinkage. As examples, the wave making problem of two models of high\|speed surface ship with transom stern is calculated by present method. The theoretical wave making resistance is compared with the measured residual resistance, and the corresponding correlation coefficient is obtained. It is shown that the present method could solve the wave making problem of high\|speed surface ships with transom stern, and the correlation coefficient of wave making resistance could be used to correct the theoretical results in order to increase their accuracy.
