Numerical simulation of friction resistance reduction of a flat plate by micro-bubbles

The resistance reduction mechanism was studied and the influencing factors such as water speed and gas flux to friction resistance reduction ratio of a flat plate by micro-bubbles were also analyzed by numerical simulation with mixture model on the asssumption that gas and liquid could equably mix and that gas could slip in current.A simple mathematic model was established.The simulation shows that there is a saturated gas flux during the resistance reduction.
