Potential distribution of static electric field of ship under condition of inclined seabed

A three-layer of air-seawater-inclined seabed model is proposed to study the distribution of static electric field of ship under the condition of inclined seabed.The electric field distribution of horizontal static electric dipole in the seawater is deduced by using mirror image theory.The analytical expression of scalar potential obtained from the study satisfies the boundary conditions,which proves the validity of deduced results.In addition,the numerical simulation and experimental measurement of electric field distribution in the seawater are made.The results show that the actual observed record is in agreement with the simulation analysis which shows distinct through characteristic,and the electric potential reaches a detectable magnitude,which gives a new insight into target detection in the water.
