DETERMINATION OF BENZO(a)PYRENE IN MOSQUITO INCENSE SMOKE

A method has been developed for the determination of BaP in mosquito incense smoke.The apparatus for sample collection and analytical procedures are described.Caffeine-formic acid solution was used as the extracting agent.The method is found to be accurate,sensitive and rapid.The detection limit is 0.1 ppb and the coefficient of variation is 8.5%.The method has been used successfully for determining BaP in smokes produced from different kinds of mosquito incenses.A method has been developed for the determination of BaP in mosquito incense smoke.The apparatus for sample collection and analytical procedures are described.Caffeine-formic acid solution was used as the extracting agent.The method is found to be accurate,sensitive and rapid.The detection limit is 0.1 ppb and the coefficient of variation is 8.5%.The method has been used successfully for determining BaP in smokes produced from different kinds of mosquito incenses.
