STUDY ON REACTIVE BRILLIANT BLUE KN-R DECOLORIZATION CATALYZED BY Y MOLECULAR SIEVE LOADED WITH Fe

Catalysts of Y molecular sieve loaded with Fe species were developed,and the catalyzed decolorization of reactive brilliant blue KN-R was studied using these catalysts.The influences of synthesized methods,loading capacity of Fe,dose of catalyst,initial pH of the reaction system,and calcination temperature,on dye decolorization efficiency were investigated.Moreover,the reusability of the catalyst was examined.The experimental results showed that the best decolorization capacity was achieved using the catalyst prepared by ion exchange method.The decolorization of 250 mg·l-1 reactive brilliant blue KN-R reached above 95% within 30 min,under the condition of pH below 3.0,H2O2 dosage of 50.0 mmol·l-1 and catalysts of 4.0 g·l-1.The catalyst prepared using organic acid complexed Fe(Ⅱ)ions as iron source instead,enhanced cata-lytic activity,but the stability of the catalyst decreased.The loading capacity of Fe species influenced the decolorization efficiency,and over-loading led to a decline of reactive brilleant blue KN-R decolorization efficiency.Meanwhile,increasing of catalyst dosage to certain extent favored the dye decolorization,however,overuse caused an opposite effect.The catalyst was suitable for the condition of initial solution with pH3.0.After the catalyst was reused for 3 times,dye decolorization efficiency was still above 95%.
