Study on pretreatment of printing and dyeing wastewater by ABR

Pilot-scale study was conduced on anaerobic baffled reactor(ABR) treating printing and dyeing wastewater.The experimental result indicates that with the prime HRT 24 h,the experiment was stable operated four months.With the mean COD 769.4 mg/L(the maximum COD 1 060 mg/L,the minimum COD 590.6 mg/L)and the influent color was 351 times,the mean final effluent COD and color were 424.2 mg/L and 83 times respectively,the removal rates were 44.5% and 76.1% respectively.The B/C of printing and dyeing wastewater increased from 0.27 to 0.42,wastewater biodegradability was improved greatly.
