Experimental study on microwave-assisted white rot fungus desulfurization of coal

Microwave technology combined with biotechnology was used in biodesulfurization of coal,the effects of treating conditions,including the initial pH,coal partical size and coal slurry concentration were studied after coal was treated under microwave irradiation power 1 000 W and treatment time 80 s,the transformation law of sulfide was also studied.The results indicated that microwave irradiation can shorten the desulfurization cycle and increase organic sulfur removal.It was concluded that,the optimized experiment conditions were initial pH 4.5,coal partical size 80~120 meshes,coal slurry concentration 10%.Under these conditions and after three-day leaching the total,inorganic and organic sulfur removal rate reached 52.06%,51.61% and 54.22%,respectively.
