Performance study on removal of SO_2 from flue gas with aqueous solutions of heteropoly acids

H3PMo12O40,H4SiW12O40,H3PW12O40,H4PMo11VO40,H5PMo10V2O40 and H6PMo9V3O40 were synthesized.These products were characterized by XRD and FT-IR,and the patterns illustrated that these compounds were HPAs with Keggin structure.In addition,the desulfurization performances of these HPAs were analyzed by gas chromatography.The results showed that H3PMo12O40,H3PW12O40 and H4SiW12O40 had different desulfurization performances,the best one was H3PMo12O40 and its desulphurization efficiency was 16.38% after 120 minutes continuous desulphurization,the ratios between V and Mo of HPAs had strong effects on the desulfurization performance,the sequence was H6PMo9V3O40H5PMo10V2O40H4PMo11VO40,and the desulfurization stability of prepared HPAs decreased in the following order: H4PMo11VO40H6PMo9V3O40H3PMo12O40H5PMo10V2O40H4SiW12O40≈H3PW12O40.
